In the Lab Skills
In the Lab is where players get built. Head Instructor Grant Sikich runs every session on Power Edge Pro's patented Reactive Countering Training™ — the same methodology behind Connor Bedard, Jack Hughes, Owen Power, and more than 70 first-round NHL picks in the past five years — in an intimate, high-rep training environment where skill work never stops moving.
Grant Sikich is a certified Power Edge Pro instructor with 5 years of experience delivering the R.C.T.™ system to players at every level. Grant built In the Lab as the skills engine of GS Hockey Lab — intensive 3-day camps, group sessions, and clinics at rinks throughout New England where players train hands and feet together, under pressure, every rep. Players who develop In the Lab also have the opportunity to compete with GS Hockey Lab tournament teams at the AA and AAA level.
What is R.C.T.™?
Every In the Lab session runs on Reactive Countering Training — Power Edge Pro's patented methodology. Unlike traditional skills drills that train hands or feet in isolation, R.C.T.™ forces simultaneous hands-and-feet coordination under game-like resistance and pressure — building muscle memory that transfers directly to game situations.
Hands and feet train together, mirroring real game scenarios. No more siloed stickhandling drills that don't transfer.
A Lab session packs 5× the meaningful repetitions of a traditional practice, accelerating muscle memory formation.
Resistance tools create pressure that mirrors real defenders, so skills are built under conditions that match game speed.
The R.C.T.™ system scales from 8U beginners to AAA players. Every session is tailored to the age and level of the group.
